How to Date a Douchebag

Review: The Learning Hours - Sara Ney

Title: The Learning Hours
Author: Sara Ney
Series: How to Date a Douchebag #3
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Blurb
He's not a douchebag; but that doesn't stop his friends from turning him into one.
MY FRIENDS WANT ME TO GET LAID.
So much so that they plastered my ugly mug all over campus, in bold printed letters:
Are you the lucky lady who's going to break our roommate's cherry?
Him: socially awkward man with average-sized penis looking for willing sexual partner. You: must have a pulse. He will reciprakate with oral. Text him at: 555-254-5551
The morons can't even spell. And the texts I've been receiving are what wet dreams are made of. But I'm not like these douchebags, no matter how hard they try to turn me into one.
THIS ISN'T THE KIND OF ATTENTION I WANT.
One text stands out from hundreds. One number I can't bring myself to block. She seems different. Hotter, even in black and white.
However, after seeing her in person, I know she's not the girl for me. But my friends won't let up--they just don't get it. Douchebags or not, there's one thing they'll never understand: GIRLS DON'T WANT ME.
Especially her.
Emily's Review
*sigh huge goofy smile plastered on face*
I reeaaally liked this book. It was totally unexpected and I LOOOVE Sara Ney.
So, I was totally curious who was the Hero in this book. My brain worked for two weeks to find possible non-Douchebags.
And, oh, boy...
The Hero in this book was AH-MAZING.
He was so sweet I felt my heart melting more and more! And this was like drinking water in the middle of the desert. The Hero made this book f*cking special. Breaking the standard of the "Hot Bad Boy" or "Perfect Alpha".
HE WAS EVEN BETTER THAN THOSE HOT SEXY BAD BOYS. *hair flip*
Sweet.
Biggest Heart on Earth.
A Perfect Gentlemen.
Even more perfect smile.
Intelligent.
A bit naïve.
A non-Douchebag.
I mean... this can start a series "How to Melt for a non-Douchebag".
Now, at first, the heroine was SO annoying and SO over herself. But then she changed, her point of view changed. And I'm not gonna lie, I still felt suspicious even at the end.
But she grew on me and I even though she still annoyed me sometimes, I liked her.
You don't always have to be so nice to girls, you know? Some of us don't deserve it.
The first two books in these series still are top reads (Zeke, I luv you!) but this book is going to be forever special - because of THE INCREDIBLE HERO.
Gah. Sara Ney, you genius.
I'm crossing fingers for more Douchebags, non-Douchebags, Douchebag-er books to come!
If you want a totally lovable hero and drama-free book to put a smile on your face, what are you waiting for!?
Peace out!
