BLURB

I thought he'd always be mine,
even when I was forced to say goodbye.

We were never meant to let go,
but it happened anyway.
Too bad I didn’t know someone was waiting to take my place, or I would've held on a lot tighter.

Two years later, we were exactly where we'd always planned to be.
I'd kept my promise.
He'd forgotten all about his.
Not only had he moved on, but the person he'd moved on with was my best friend, leaving me to begin college with a broken heart.

I guess this is the part where I’m supposed to tell you some other guy stepped in, repaired my shattered pieces, and made me smile again.

This isn't that kind of story.

My heart might have been broken,
but it refused to fall out of love.

WARNING: this book contains cheating.
Hey, guys! It's been a while, I know. But I'm back with my little reviews. I'm with the worst book hangover and it's horrible. I can't even. So, I'm reading slower than usual and I'm DNFing books non-stop. I don't even want to start naming books because it's all on me. Authors and books don't deserve a rating If I didn't even read the book.

Okay, enough of my blabbering and let's start with the holy review...

4 "Like the moon and the stars" STARS

I've heard so many amazing things about this book. I've seen it all over my feed and plus, that cover is just gorgeous.

So I gave it a go. And I'm really happy I did. Ella Fields is a new author to me, even though I've following her for a while now.

So, this is the story of Quinn and Daisy.

Man, this book.

"I love you. Whether this lasts seconds, minutes, or and hour, it'll last forever where it counts."

It started a bit slow, maybe I was the slow one, but then all of a sudden. BOOM. I couldn't stop reading. I just couldn't. Impossible. My emotions were all over the place, my heart was hurting so bad. I FELT TRULY AMAZED by all the feelings.

Daisy is a cute, innocent girl, maybe even a little naive with a pure, uninterested heart full of incredible talent and dedication for every little thing in her life.
Quinn is a good guy, the golden boy who every girl wants to marry one day... I truly don't know what to say about him. But wait, bear with me, I'll explain later.

They both meet when they were kids, they have a really passionate relationship, full of dreams, hopes, and promises while growing up.

Life happens in the middle, they have to go separate ways and after years of no talking, Daisy keeps her promise of attending the same college. But she wasn't expecting the things that followed the re-encounter with her once-upon-a-time soulmate.

Now, they suddenly have to face each other on a daily basis, and that's when emotions and feelings start to simmer.

Tears. Check.
Heartache. Check.
Angriness. Check.
Cursing every two pages. Check.
Hating the hero. Check. I hated the hero SO MUCH. He redeemed himself maybe halfway through the book. I was confused by every action and decision he made. And that drove me nuts. But hey, he was hot as hell.

BUT THEN, the story flattened. I was maybe 80% through. The story started to be predictable, I was hating everyone by then. It has a beautiful HEA, but somehow I felt empty. Like it wasn't what I was expecting. Maybe because it started so good, I was super ready to put this book a crown and add it to my top faves of 2018, but oh, well. Maybe the next one? I, of course, will read future books by the author! The plotline and some characters were exceptionally original and real.

Can't wait to read Pippa and Toby's book. They are the H and h's best friends in this book and I'm totally interested to read more about them. I FLOVED them!

So, that's it! I'll come back soon with another review, maybe of an ARC, maybe of an old but gold book, maybe a new book. Who knows?

Have you read Suddenly Forbidden? Do you love second chances romances? Do you like to suffer just like me? Then this is your book! Give it a try and let me know what you think!
